In the furtherance of this goal, synthetic methods for novel donor-acceptor polyenes, procedures for introducing cyclic groups into the polymethine chain and branching of the chromophore with their help have been developed; quantum-chemical analysis of the electronic structure of dyes in the both ground and excited states in vacuum and in the medium fields has been performed; the influence of vibronic and intermolecular interactions on the spectral-luminescent properties of the synthesized dyes has been studied; main channels for the excited state energy degradation in donor-acceptor polyenes have been determined. Methods - NMR, IR, XRD, electron spectroscopy; application - optoelectronics, nonlinear optics, medicine, biology and sensorics.
