Modern armed violence has several specific features and trends. In recent decades there has been a significant spread of armed violence both at the international and at the domestic levels. Its level increases in the traditionally stable European region. Starting from the beginning of the XXI century there were three wars there - in Chechnya, Georgia and Ukraine. In all the mentioned cases the aggressor party was acted by the Russian Federation. The growing of threats related to the spreading of armed violence influences in a negative way the political process, since such process destabilizes the political system, makes it exist in a constant state of stress and strain.
