Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology popup.description2 It has been established that Feroplat leads to vacuole-hydrophobic dystrophy of cells, the occurrence of blebbing phenomena in the cytoplasmic membrane, multiple vacuolization of cytoplasm, premature condensation of chromatin, nucleation hypertrophy and the appearance of "giant cells". It was determined that under the influence of Feroplat, cells were abolished mainly by apoptosis (more than 4.6 times). These changes were accompanied by a decrease in the expression of the anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2 (more than 23-30%) and an increase in the expression of proapoptotic protein Bax (more than 15-24%) and led to a decrease in the proliferative potential of the studied cells (by 23-59%). It is proved that Feropart is capable to cause cytomorphological and genotoxic changes, as well as initiate an apoptotic program in cells of high malignancy degree and cells resistant to cisplatin. The specific signs of changes in the cytoarchitectonics of human breast cancer cells under the influence of Feroplat were established. It was determined that one of the manifestations of the genotoxic effect of Feroplat is the increase in the number of micronuclei and the percentage of DNA in the tail of comets in cells of high malignancy degree and with the phenotype of drug resistance to Cisplatin.
