The structure-properties correlations for these materials are established with aim to find a new application for progressive nonlinear optics and photonics. It is found that the low-energy ion implantation through a metal grid mask could be alternative to nanoimprint lithography in the fabrication of submicron periodic gratings based on glassy chalcogenide and chalcohalide materials.
