This kind of professional activity is linked with extremity, the issue of ensuring safe working conditions, prevention of injuries to the personnel of rescue units because of special importance. According to the requirements of the rules of safety of work in the bodies and subdivisions of the MOE of Ukraine, the personnel is not allowed to organize and conduct operational actions on a fire (accident, natural disaster) without proper protective clothing; for personal protection of personnel from intense thermal radiation it is necessary to use heat-protective devices. The workers of those rescue units that are directly involved in the elimination of fires in such high-risk facilities as oil and petroleum products, subterranean sections of underground mines, mining mines, railway and road tunnels, cable tunnels, compartments, galleries are exposed to a considerable extent. etc. Fires on such objects are characterized by a significant fire load, which contains a large number of materials, with combustion which generate powerful heat fluxes and released toxic substances; intense air exchange, which leads to a sharp increase in temperature (1000 ° C and more) and values of the density of the heat flow. The disadvantages of individual suits of thermal protection, which are equipped with the units of the MOE of Ukraine, are: - a limited period of protective action, which does not exceed one or two minutes; - insignificant exploitation resource limited to 10..12 cases of use; - a significant probability of the failure of the remedy and thermal injury to the rescuer due to the thermal destruction of the outer shell at high thermal load, the effects of sparks, flames, etc. In all modern types of protective clothing for rescuers from high heat fluxes, the principle of passive thermal protection is used, which is based on the use of materials with low values of the coefficient of thermal conductivity and high heat capacity and ensuring the removal of heat by refrigerants with a limited resource. The authors proposed the idea of forced feeding of the refrigerant to the vehicle, which allows to significantly increase the heat-protective resource of the protective device, which provides improved tactical capabilities of the units, thereby increasing the efficiency of fire extinguishing.
