Object of research: Quaternary loess and soil deposits of Ukraine. Purpose: determination of the position of the Matuyama-Brunhes boundary in the Quaternary loess-soil deposition of Ukraine and their correlation, construction of a unified stratigraphic scheme, improving the methodology for studying subaerial deposits using the paleomagnetic method. Task: at stage I to perform a review and analysis of previous magnetostratigraphic data, materials on the geological structure of the work areas. Complete the study of collections of samples from sections of the Volhynian Upland and the Black Sea Lowland. To conduct field research and selection of paleomagnetic collections of specimens of quaternary rocks within the Podolia Upland and Dnieper Lowland. Methods of research: paleomagnetic, petromagnetic. Results and their novelty: the authors have been completed the previous magnetostratigraphic investigations of quaternary loess-soil sections of Boyanichi, Korshiv (Volhynian Upland) and Roksolany (Black Sea Lowland). For laboratory research with the grant in 2017, new collections of specimens of rocks at sections of Medzhybizh and Holovchyntsy (Podilia Uplnad), Stari Kaydaky (Dnieper Lowland) were selected. The works are carried out in the leading geomagnetic centers of Ukraine, Norway, Poland, Russia. Current scientific researches have no analogues in Ukraine.
