On the basis of the analysis of regulatory documents of ENTSO-E and the regulations of the EU Commission for the consideration of interstate capacity, proposals were made for their implementation and introduction of mechanisms for functioning of the "day-ahead" market (DAM) of Ukraine in the conditions of zonal pricing. The architecture of the liberalized model of the wholesale electricity market has been refined, recommendations for the organization of the functioning of the State Tax Inspectorate of Ukraine, the division of the intergovernmental bandwidth allocation, the market of ancillary services have been provided. The theoretical and experimental researches of the influence of system constraints on the production and transmission of electricity in Ukrainian power systems are carried out in view of the integration of the electricity market of Ukraine with the countries of Europe. Requirements are defined and a mathematical model of DAM is developed, corresponding means of account of system constraints in the part of reserving of production capacities for the needs of regulation of power systems of Ukraine are developed. The results of the work were implemented at the National Commission, which carries out state regulation in the fields of energy and utilities, as well as at the Institute for Modeling Problems in the Energy.
