The theoretical analysis of the single-ended class-Е/F3 power amplifier with duty ratio 50%, with shunting capacitance, series inductance, shunting filter and series reactance was considered. A new structure of oscillator which operating mode which combines the class-E and inverse class-F modes was presented. The simplified design procedure for this amplifier was presented, the simulation and experimental investigation of the amplifier prototype was fulfilled. The algorithms were developed, and the results of numeric analysis were presented for two-layer discontinuity in microstrip transmission line in the form of inductive line segment and H-shaped slot resonator symmetrically placed in ground plane. The similar results of numeric analysis were presented for distributed discontinuity based on the symmetrical three-layer planar structures with two DGS discontinuities in the form of "dumb-bells" with width step in finite length microstrip line. The possibility of obtaining characteristics with wide pass and reflection bands in two sub-bands was demonstrated, which allows use such a discontinuity in compact multifunction devices and extends their functional possibilities.
