The research subject is the trajectory of the development of the institutional mechanism for coordinating public finance reforms and the tendencies of implementing the principles of openness, transparency and public trust in institutions of the state financial management system. The purpose is to substantiate the mechanisms for ensuring the coordination of reforms of the public finance system, assessing the level of public trust in the institutes of public finances in Ukraine, and an analysis of the state of their transparency and openness. Research methods are system analysis, methods of formal logic, analysis and synthesis, analogy and comparative analysis, qualitative and quantitative comparisons, statistical sampling and analysis. The result of the research is the proof of the institutional mechanisms as tool, ensuring transparency and public trust in public finance management. Applications: Research reports, quarterly analytical notes are used by the Department of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the Executive Committee of the Chernivtsi City Council, Chernivtsi National Y. Fedkovich University. Interconnection with other works: the theory of public finance, state and local budgets. Recommendations on the application of research results are the measures of implementation of institutional mechanisms for coordinating public finance reforms in order to achieve higher quality of the general government sector and increase public confidence in financial institutions, ensuring transparency and openness in the activity of institution of public finances. The subject of application is the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. Economic efficiency consists of: the increase in the efficiency and productivity of budget use, decentralizing the budget system, reviewing the debt policy of the state and achieving macro-financial stability, including the mechanism of transparency and openness. The research significance consists of proposals and recommendations on the adoption of quality management decisions on the institutional mechanism for coordinating reforms in the field of public finance, aimed at ensuring the stability of financial transactions in the general government.
