The object of the study - the system of professional training and advanced training on internal control and internal audit of institutions and organizations under the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, based on the analysis of modern scientific investigations, Ukrainian legislation and foreign experience. The purpose of work is to develop the scientific and reasonable proposals on development the training and professional development of specialists of the internal control and audit system in the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine based on the analysis of international experience and the best practice of the EU. Research methods - analysis, synthesis, classification, ordering, grouping, comparison. Results and novelty: - the conceptual approaches to the improvement of the system of training, improving qualifications and professional development of specialists of the internal control and audit system of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine; - the mechanisms of certification of internal auditors of the public sector and procedures for their implementation at the level of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine; - the draft Order of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine "On approval of the Regulation on the system of training, retraining and improving qualifications of employees of internal audit unit and officials of the State Audit Service of Ukraine conducting audit studies".
