Purpose: to form approaches to diversifying sources of financing of the system of social protection of the population in the context of strengthening the interaction of the state, non-governmental organizations and the business sector. Scientific report includes: research of theoretical and methodological principles of development of state-owned partnership relations, business structures, non-governmental organizations in the field of social protection of population in Ukraine; foreign experience in providing social services by non-governmental organizations; research of social responsibility of business in the field of social protection of the population; proposals for improving the efficiency of the social protection system in the context of strengthening the interaction of the state and non-governmental organizations. The scientific novelty of the study is to formulate practical recommendations for strengthening the interaction of the state, business structures and NGOs in order to increase the effectiveness of the system of social protection of the population and reduce the budget burden in terms of expenditures on social protection.
