The purpose of the research is to develop methodological approaches to risk management of state investment projects. The object of the research is the modern tool for risk management of public investment projects. The subject of the study is a set of interrelated theoretical, methodological and practical problems that arise in the process of risk management of public investment projects. Scientific novelty, theoretical significance of the research: the theoretical bases on risk management in the field of state investment projects are analyzed; the world practice of application of economical-mathematical methods and models in the assessment of risks inherent in state investment projects is researched; risk assessment was carried out when performing state investment projects in Ukraine; proposals for improving the risk management methodology of state investment projects were prepared; the modern institutional provision of risk management of state investment projects in Ukraine were analyzed; recommendations for improvement of institutional support for risk management of state investment projects are given. The methodological basis of the study is systematic, comparative analysis, fundamental conceptual provisions contained in the works of domestic and foreign economists on the methodology of risk management of state investment projects; the system-structured method was used in the process of studying the legal and regulatory framework for risk management of state investment projects. The paper used methodological developments, legal acts, statistical reports of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, the State Treasury Service of Ukraine, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. The practical value of the results obtained is that they can be used by central bodies of legislative and executive power, researchers and scientists to improve the risk management methodology of state investment projects.
