Complex geological and geophysical models of the main types of complicated and unconventional reservoirs are created: according to acoustic and elastic parameters, fracture permeability. Experimental data on the microcracking parameters of a number of crystalline rocks petrotypes of a granitoid composition have been obtained. The theoretical bases, methodology and first results of simulation by seismogravity tomography are considered. For the first time on the new methodological approach the permeability of the geological environment is determined on the basis of seismic information. The theoretical and methodological prerequisites of application of ground cover magnetism in studying deposits of traditional and non-traditional hydrocarbons types are investigated. A database of geological information was created and filled up, 3D frame and block models of main coal beds and rock mass of the test plot were developed in connection with the prediction of hydrocarbon gases. The correspondence of the possible shale deposits development in Ukraine to the existing standards of environmental safety is analyzed; measures are proposed that allow to reduce environmental risks at the stage of designing the development of specific shale gas deposits. Stratigraphic complexes are prominent, promising for revealing deposits of shale gas and shale oil. Petrographic studies of oil and gas-bearing strata, 1D, 2D simulation of the development of the hydrocarbon system within promising areas of the Dnieper-Donets Basin are performed. Regional and local evaluations of promising resources have been carried out and recommendations for further research and prospects of shale gas and gas of sealed rocks have been provided.
