The aim of this work is to create a concept of photoinduced and dark cytotoxicity of amphiphilic porphyrins and to test the hypothesis of the antimicrobial action of the latter in relation to bacteria resistant to the action of conventional antibiotics. The isomeric quinolinecarbaldehydes have been synthesized, free bases of isomeric bisquinolinylporphyrins, their metallocomplexes and water-soluble forms have been obtained, the structure of the compounds has been proved by number of physico-chemical methods of analisys. The antimicrobial activity of the synthesized compounds against strains of conditionally pathogenic microorganisms Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella enteritidis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Sundida albicans, resistant to dystrophic antibiotics has been studied.
