The main peculiarities in the luminescence spectra of c-, k-As2S3 are 1.65, 1.87, 2.04, 2.26, 2.80 and 3.25 eV. In the spectra of photoluminescence c-As2S3, the maximum at 1.65 eV was attributed to the emission from realgar As4S4. The maximum at 1.87 eV was attributed to the pararealgar emission, which we found in the glass structure as a result of light induced polymorphic transformations of realgar-pararealgar. The oxidation process of the glass surface and crystalline (c-) k-As2S3 during prolonged storage, as indicated by the maxima of 2.04 and 2.26 eV, are characteristic of arsenic oxides.
