The subject of the research is theoretical and methodological principles of substantiation of the paradigm of environmentalization of the national economy, mechanisms and tools for managing ecologization in the modern paradigm of the welfare state. The goal is to develop theoretical and methodological provisions on the justification of a new paradigm for the development of welfare states in the context of ecologization, within the framework of which the conceptual foundations of socio-economic policy need new theoretical and practical support. Research methods - historical, logical, comparative, system analysis, as well as correlation and regression methods of statistical analysis. Results and their novelty - the inadequacy of the traditional concepts of the development of the welfare state and socio-economic policies has been proved; The role of ecological culture in formation of a new paradigm of the state of welfare is substantiated; the stages of the development of welfare states with the identification of the focus period for the purposes of sustainable development and the ecological component of economic progress are analyzed; the role of Kuznets' ecological curve in transformation of ideas about the importance of the public good "quality environment" is substantiated; the guidelines for the development of the welfare state have been proposed taking into account the ecological factor. The results of the research work are used by TNEU in the teaching of disciplines "Economic Theory", "Macroeconomics", "Economics", "Behavioral and Experimental Economics", "Policy Analysis".
