Vlokh of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine popup.description2 It was shown that in order to generate optic vortices with fractional charge by crystalline media, the existence of topological defects (TD) of the orientation of the optical indicatrix (OI) with a non-half-integral force is required that cannot be realized under the condition of the crystal lattice continuity. The regularities of the origin and behavior of the TD orientation of the OI and the defects of the state of polarization that arise at the propagation of the divergent optical beam in the lithium niobate crystal under the influence of external electric field are established. The optical activity of Langasite crystals had been investigated with the help of improved high precision polarimeter with two laser light sources.
