The purpose of the work is to use the DNA analysis to obtain basic information about QTL genes associated with the fertility of animals and new knowledge of the level of polymorphism of these genes in the sheep of native selection. To achieve the goal, the following tasks were done: - With the using of DNA technology, the structural genes those affect the level of sheep productivity have been identified; - Methods for determining the allelic state of the FecB and BMP15 genes have been worked off; - The individual genotypes of sheep were revealed and the features of gene pools of breeds of different directions of productivity were investigated for the FecB and BMP15 genes; - The possibility of using the polymorphism of structural genes to determine the level of genetic differentiation of the sheep gene pools of different directions productivity by DNA markers had been evaluated. The methods of researches are molecular-genetic (PCR-RFLP). The level of QTL genes polymorphism associated with fecundity has been determined, and new knowledge of the effect the QTL genes on the level of development the reproductive characteristics of the Ascanian selection sheep has been obtained.
