Powder wires were applied for obtaining electro-arc corrosion-resistant coatings. Charge materials in powder wires facilitate the low melting eutectics formation, homogenize melt and reduce the microheterogeneity of coatings. Sufficiently high hardness and cohesive strength (185 MPa), low level of residual stresses in coatings with powder wires 90Х17РГС is provided by a martensitic matrix strengthened by FeCr2B inclusions. It has been shown that corrosion resistance does not always determine the resistance of coatings to corrosion-mechanical wear.
