SILICATE COMPOSITES, ELECTRO-SURFACE PROPERTIES, CORROSION, PROTECTION FROM CORROSION, WATER RESISTANCE The object of investigation is corrosion-resistant composite silicate materials with high hydrophysical characteristics. The subject of the study is the patterns of structure formation and the properties of silicate composite materials containing chemical and mineral additives. The aim of the work is the creation of theoretical and experimental bases for the production of new corrosion-resistant composite silicate materials with high hydro and physical-mechanical properties that will improve the durability of structures, incl. transport facilities, hydraulic structures, etc. Methods, means and procedures for solving problems of work: an analytical review of literature data, development of scientific hypotheses on the mechanisms of formation of properties of silicate compositions; bringing the hypotheses through theoretical studies on the basis of the fundamental provisions of colloid chemistry and the physicochemical mechanics of disperse systems and materials; the development of methods and the conduct of experimental studies on the conduction of hypotheses; development of recommendations for the development of silicate compositions with specified properties. As a result of the theoretical and experimental studies performed, the following results were obtained: theoretical and methodological bases for the evaluation of aggressive impacts that cause corrosion damage and other structural damage are developed; the concept of structure formation and formation of properties of composite silicate materials is developed; the effect of the structure on the electrophysical properties of silicate compositions for protection against electrocorrosion has been established; developed theoretical, experimental and technological basis for obtaining with minimum energy consumption concrete and products of railroad bases of railways from them with specified properties; theoretical and experimental basis for the production of composite silicate materials for secondary protection of structures against aggressive influences; theoretical bases of perfection of methods of research of structure formation and properties of silicate composites are developed. Based on the results of the studies carried out, new compositions of composite silicate materials with specified physical-mechanical and hydrophysical characteristics for various functional purposes have been developed and introduced. Introduction of research results will allow developing new high-performance composite silicate materials for repair, waterproofing and protection of structures, incl. transport facilities, hydraulic structures, etc., the use of which will increase their reliability and durability, improve the safety of traffic.
