The purpose of the work is to create a methodological basis for studying the risks of the formation of PED enzootic areas. Methods of research - virological, serological, epizootiological, parasitological. According to the results of the research, it was found that the pathogen of PED, that isolated from it's nozoareal in the eastern part of Ukraine, is capable of actively multiplying in the mucous membrane of the large intestine of ducts (n = 37) and, in the low-passages state, cause duckling diseases similar to coronavirus enteritis of ducks - as for clinical, and pathological manifestations. According to clinical and pathological findings, the PED virus isolated in the eastern part of Ukraine is characterized by a distinct tropism to the mucous membranes of the large intestine of ducks. Virus of low passages level on ducks (up to 3 passages) and in cell culture (up to 5th passage) agglutinated mouse red blood cells and accumulated with cytopathic activity in primary culture of piglets kidneys to titre 3.5-4.0 lgTCID50/ml (per conditions of cultivation in the presence of trypsin) and to the titre 1: 32-1: 128 - for hemagglutinating activity (using 0.8-1.0% suspension of mouse erythrocytes). It has been previously established that the serial passage of the EDS virus onto the ducts leads to its attenuation. Product Description popup.authors Бузун А.І. Кольчик О.В.
