The object of the study - landscape plantations of the Arboretum "Trostyanets". The purpose of the work - development and implementation of measures directed to ensure the longevity of the Trostyanets dendrology park and to maximize the preservation of its plant gene pool and the initial decorative and artistic merits of the park. The task of the research - on the basis of analysis of the structure of park plantations, to develop technological schemes for the reconstruction of separate plots and to learn the possibility of using the results obtained to optimize the plantations of other old parks. The method of the research. The research was implemented by means of direct and mediated methods generally accepted in dendrology, phytocenology and geobotany, as well as through the processing of archival documents of the arboretum and materials of botanical inventorying. As a result of the accomplished research, the condition and change analysis of the park landscapes was made; the taxonomic and age structure of landscape-forming introducts and phytocenotic relationships between them and local breeds were studied; concrete measures to ensure care of the park landscapes were proposed and implemented.
