The aim of research is to provide the required quality of machine parts surface layers by developing energy-saving and eco-friendly technologies based on EEA, more economical methods, alternatives to traditional chemical-thermal treatment. Technological recommendations for improving the quality of machines parts surface layers for aluminizing (doping with aluminum electrode) by the EEA method have been developed. Technological recommendations for improving the quality of the steel parts surface layers, nickel and titanium alloys by the method of cementation by EEA and deposition of combined electroerosive coatings consisting of hard wear-resistant and soft antifriction metals are developed. The technological recommendations for sulfidation (introduction into the surface of sulfur) of parts steel surfaces by the EEA method have been developed. Technological recommendations for improving the quality of parts surface layers by methods of aluminizing, carburization, and sulphidation in combination with other methods using EEA have been developed. The structural and parametric optimization of the EEA process is carried out. A rational synthesis of EEA with other methods (surface plastic deformation, ionic nitriding, processing of sulfur, etc.), with a variation of the surrounding environment is carried out. A scientifically grounded, directed choice of rational technology for improving the quality of products surface layers by energy-saving and eco-friendly methods based on EEA has been carried out.
