The purpose of the work is to develop theoretical and methodological provisions for the management of an industrial enterprise's economic activity on the basis of modern information systems. Systematic and integrated approaches were used in the research process. Methods of research: traditional methods of economic analysis, economic and mathematical methods. Data processing was carried out using computer technology and software. During the work: the essence and problems of the functioning of information mechanisms in the management of production and economic activity of the enterprise are shown theoretically; economic and mathematical models of evaluation of the information management system of the machine-building enterprise are improved and supplemented by a parametric model of the dependence of financial results of enterprises on non-material and material components; practically verified theoretical results. Research results: information mechanisms of the industrial enterprises activity management with the use of modern information systems.
