Subject: methods and systems for compensation of peak load of electrical grids. Purpose: the development of scientific and applied methods and combined systems of compensation of peak load in electric networks on the base of super-capacitors (SC) using solar energy. Methods of research: methods of theory of complex variable functions, theory of measurement errors, probability theory and mathematical statistics, fractional calculus, analysis of electric circuits. In experimental research, the methods of volt-ampere characteristics, impedance spectroscopy, potentiostatic and galvanostatic methods were used. In the process of research the next main scientific results were obtained: 1. The developed and improved mathematical models of SC, supercapacitor batteries (SCB) and solar modules (SM), which, unlike the known ones, are based on the application of transfer functions of fractional orders, that allows to optimize the operating modes of the combined system of compensation of the peak load in the electrical grids under different exploitation conditions. 2. The developed SM optimizer, which, unlike the known ones, is based on the calculation of SM and SCB parameters, depending on the load power and operating modes of the combined system of compensation of the peak load of the electrical grids in accordance with the algorithms for tracking the maximum power point. 3. The design and improvement of the circuitry for connection of the SC in the battery and matching of the SCB cells, as well as the connection of the SCB to the electrical grid and the load, have been made. 4. An experimental sample of the combined system of compensation of the peak load of electrical grids is developed and experimental researches of its efficiency and characteristics at different modes of work are carried out.
