The methods of research - voltammetry, electrode impedance method, potentiometry, scanning electron microscopy, energy dissipation X-ray spectroscopy, measurement of microhardness of coatings, dispersion analysis, complexometric analysis, X-ray diffraction, internal stress measurements, glare measurement. The basic regularities of the conditions of the electrochemical synthesis of composite coatings based on iron on their composition, peculiarities of surface morphology, microhardness and electro-catalytic properties are established. The character of influence of electrolysis parameters on composition, morphology, structure and physical-mechanical properties and photocatalytic activity of Ni-TiO2 composites have been established. An electrolyte was proposed for electrochemical application of cerium-containing nickel composite coatings. The influence of the anionic composition of the electrolyte and electrolysis conditions on the composition, structure, morphology and physical and chemical properties of the Ni-R alloy are established.
