A subject of the research is organizational and legal principles of rational use and protection of natural resources. The purpose of the work is to create an updated control and supervision system, provisions of the organizational and legal basis and their administrative and jurisdictional activities in the field of rational use and protection of natural resources. The methodological basis of fundamental research constitutes the dialectical method of scientific knowledge, general science (formal-logical, methods of analysis and synthesis, systemic) and special-legal methods) (historical-legal, formal legal, comparative-legal). The research of the control and supervision system of public authorities in the field of rational use and protection of natural resources was carried out with the aid of a dialectic method in combination, in the interconnection and development of social and legal factors.The method of analysis is the basis for the study of the scientific work of legal scientists in the field of the research, as well as the definition of conflicts and gaps in regulatory legal acts regulating relations in the field of rational use and protection of natural resources.
