A subject of the research is legal regulation of protection and reproduction of forests in Ukraine. The purpose of the research work is to study the historical development and the current state of domestic legislation in the field of forestry and the actual problems of state regulation of relations in this area. Methodological basis of the research work is a set of methods and methods of scientific knowledge, which makes it possible to study problems in the unity of their social content and legal form, to objectively evaluate the effectiveness of legal regulation of the use and protection of forest resources in Ukraine.
