The stability of the conjugates under different storage conditions and under the influence of various media simulating biological fluids has been determined, and the way of immobilizing antigens in the particles has been optimized. The efficiency of using chitosan and cellobiose for the formation of a protective layer that prevents the influence of damaging factors of the gastrointestinal tract is tested. It has been shown that the use of chitosan reduces the rate of release of the antigen in an environment simulating the environment of the gastrointestinal tract. The peculiarities of the interaction of chitosan and cellobiose with cells of the immune system in vitro were determined, as well as their immunogenic properties were determined when administering per os. On the basis of conjugates of poly(lactide-co-glycolide) nanoparticles with proteins coated with the protective layer of chitosan, effective generic oral vaccines can be created.
