Transparency of light guide materials is up to 95% in the luminescence region of YSO: Ce, YAG: Ce and YAGG: Ce single crystals. Excitation an emission spectra of silicates and garnets are in good agreement, so this crystal can be used for manufacturing of composite layer and WLS light guide. In this case, the output signal increases by more than 2 times compared to Y-11 due to less light reabsorption. The light output of element with polysiloxane or quartz glass light guide is higher than that of plastic scintillator in 2.2 and 1.2 times, respectively. The light output of element with leucosapphire lightguide is 50% and 80%, respectively, relative to plastic scintillatoe with Y-11 or YAG:Ce WLS fiber.
