The method of investigation is a physical experiment. The object of the research was an Al-based alloy (7075, Ukrainian analog B95) subject to electrohydropulse or electropulse action in the liquid state. To carry out this work, experimental test benches were constructed and appropriate experimental research methods were developed, and all the technological, technical and physical conditions of electrohydropulse and electropulse treatment were fulfilled. In the course of treatment, the load parameters varied. The microstructure was analyzed to evaluate the effect of crushing of intermetallic compounds. The principal possibility of destruction of a continuous crystal mesh of the eutectic and the crushing of inclusions of intermetallide phases due to EHPT (electrohydropulse treatment) of melt in the model alloy B95 is shown. The best result was obtained by combining the reagent treatment and EHPT (AlTiB1, 0.15% T1 + EHPT). After such treatment, the heterogeneity of the structure is eliminated, due to the chemical composition of the alloy and the technology of casting. The grain size is reduced by 10-15%. The grains take on a rounded shape with smoothed limits. The size of intermetallic compounds decreases from (40-100) mkm to (20-40) mkm.5481 Product Description popup.authors Іванов А.В.
