The purpose of the work is to find out the mechanisms of formation of luminescence properties of Li2MoO4 and ZnSe crystals and to create the fundamental basis for the predicted growth of effective low-tech scintillation materials for cryogenic bolometric detectors. Methods of research: differential-thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis, optical and luminescent spectroscopy with excited X-rays, theoretical calculations of the electronic band structure of crystals. To achieve the goal, a series of samples of Li2MoO4 and ZnSe have been grown under different growing conditions, and experimental studies of the luminescence and scintillation properties of these crystals have been carried out. Calculations of the electronic band structure of Li2MoO4, ZnSe crystals and ZnMoO4 model crystals have been made, both ideal in structure and those containing anion vacancies. The peculiarities of the transformation of scintillation excitation energies are determined, the role of electronic states of regular lattice elements and point defects in optical and luminescent processes is determined, and the composition and structure of luminescent luminescence centers in Li2MoO4 and ZnSe crystals are determined.
