It was revealed that 87.8% of S. aureus cultures, which are isolated from diseased cows, produce DNA-azu in 95.6%, phosphatase in 90.2% and lecithinase in 18.5%. The optimal medium for primary isolation of Staphylococcus aureus is hemoagar with 5% blood of cattle and 5% sodium chloride. To confirm the affiliation of S. aureus culture to var. bovis it is necessary to reveal its ability to coagulate plasma of cattle.
