The object of the study is domestic varieties of tobacco in the agro-climatic conditions of the central part of the forest-steppe of Ukraine. The subject of the study is the terms of planting and the area of tobacco plant nutrition in the agro-climatic conditions of the central part of the forest-steppe of Ukraine. The purpose of the research is to study the patterns of formation of commodity products and seeds of various varieties of tobacco depending on the terms of planting and plant nutrition for cultivation in the agro-climatic conditions of the central part of the forest-steppe of Ukraine. Research methods - field (organoleptic and visual for phenotypic variability of plants), measurement-weight (accounting and structural analysis of elements of a crop) and mathematical-statistical (to assess the reliability of the results of research). The results of the research give grounds for believing that the cultivation of tobacco varieties Virginia, Ternopil 7, Ternopil 14, Temp 321 in the central part of the forest-steppe of Ukraine is promising, provided that the seedlings are planted at the optimal early date (second decade of May) and for planting planes 60x30 cm.
