The purpose of the study is to theoretically substantiate and empirically verify the psychological capabilities of investigating the personality of police officers using projective methods of psychological diagnosis. Methods of research are selected based on the goals and objectives set in the work, taking into account its object and subject. To solve the tasks, a complex of complementary methods was used: theoretical: analysis, synthesis, comparison, modeling, generalization, systematization, studying and analysis of literature on the research problem and the legal and regulatory framework of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and empirical - projective psychodiagnostic methods L. Sondi, G. Rorschach, G. Hekgauzen, M. Luscher and others, expert evaluations; statistical methods (correlation analysis, analysis of the reliability of differences in mean values based on the student's t-criterion). Obtained results: a scientific and practical manual was prepared for the person who considered the issue of expanding the arsenal of psychodiagnostic tools used in the work of practical psychologists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with modern projective methods for investigating the individual and psychological qualities of the police. The theoretical substantiation of the projective approach is presented, recommendations for the use of the most reliable and valid methods are given. The manual is intended for practical use by psychologists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
