The results of investigations of the de-wetting of continuous polycrystalline films of copper and silver under the influence of temperature are presented. With the help of electron microscopic studies of kinetics of the through pores growth during heating, the activation energy of surface self-diffusion in copper films is determined. The influence of small lead additives on the process of thermal dispersion was revealed. It was found that a thin layer of molybdenum, which is condensed on the substrate before deposition of a binary film system Cu/Pb or Ag/Pb, increases its thermal stability. The main results are obtained for the first time using modern methods of sample preparation and study their relevance due to both the need to understand the physics of the processes in low-dimensional systems and the use of nanodispersed objects in modern technologies.
