Karazin popup.description2 Subject of research: Non-equilibrium plasma of low and ambient pressure in pulsed electric fields. Research goal: Development of physical grounds for creating a new generation of innovative technologies and equipment based on pulsed discharges. Method of research: complex experimental and theoretical research within a broad range of pulsed discharge parameters. Low pressure (13.3 Pa-133 Pa) unipolar and bipolar discharges have been studied in nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, carbon tetrafluorine and sulfur hexafluorine in the frequency range between 20 kHz and 300 kHz with the duty cycle from 0.03 to 0.9 and the voltage amplitude within 600 V - 1100 V. It has been demonstrated that a substantial current gain may be obtained in a pulsed discharge in electronegative gases compared to the discharges with a constant voltage. One can vary the axial structure of a unipolar and bipolar discharges using the duty cycle and frequency changes. A constant self-bias voltage appears in a bipolar pulsed discharge with the magnitude and sign depending on the duty cycle, amplitude and frequency of the applied voltage. A pulsed generator is designed and manufactured, and a technology of hydroxylapatite film deposition on the surfaces of implants is proposed when a unipolar pulsed bias voltage applied to them.
