The purpose of the work - to determine the spatial and temporal boundaries of the transition of the plasma-wave structure to the steady-state work after the start of the operation of the electromagnetic wave generator; to search the conditions for effective parametric excitation of azimuth surface waves, which can be used to analyze experimental results and to plan future experiments in the field of plasma radio-physics and electronics; to determine of the nature of radiation defects and mechanisms of their formation under gamma and neutron irradiation. Research methods - The problem is solved by applying modern methods of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation on a computer; investigation of magnesium aluminum spinel ceramics after the gamma - neutron irradiation and annealing at different temperatures was carried out by methods of optical spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance and stationary radio-luminescence. Results of the research and their novelty: - A numerical model of the source of the plane electromagnetic wave in plasma was created. The spatial-temporal characteristics of the work of such source are obtained. The established nature of point defects of technological origin and created during irradiation in ceramics of spinel, their spectroscopic properties, as well as their change in the annealing of irradiated specimens have been determined. Practical importance: - The results of the work are aimed at increasing the efficiency of excitation of electromagnetic waves and their transfer of energy in technological and research devices with plasma filling. Taking into account the obtained data on changes in the spectroscopic properties of ceramics under the action of plasma factors, such as X-ray, gamma and neutron irradiation, one can predict the effect of heating this material when using and in plasma devices. The results can be used in the NSC "KIPT" and the leading scientific laboratories in the world in experiments on controlled thermonuclear fusion and plasma processing of materials.
