M., Registration Date 24-01-2018 Organization Social and Political Psychology Institute of Academy of Pedagogical Sciences popup.description2 The principles of understanding the community adaptation to conditions and consequences of the military conflict are formulated, firstly, as a complex, ambiguous, uneven and controversial process, and secondly, as an ability of personality, family, and community to restorative efforts. The tendencies of the precondition of community adaptation are identified: the variability of attitudes towards the causes of military events and the degree of involvement in them, the depth of perception and experience of these events, the level of social activity, the critical assessment of power, the problematisation of relations with the environment, the restoration of relationships within the family system. They are created the models of psychological strategies of community adaptation to the conditions and consequences of the military conflict in the process: of individual or collective self-determination in different spheres of life; making expressive of implicit content of the attitude towards the war; strengthening of public health; family interaction; transformation of social capital; interaction with the media environment; living traumatic experience of ATO participants’ communities, members of their families, volunteers. The criteria of successful community adaptation to conditions and consequences of the military conflict are defined: achievement of meaningful collective and individual goals; achievement of understanding within the community; development or mastering of new variants of activity; presence of signs of psychological resiliency; attempts to return or increase well-being; strengthening reflexive processes; increased readiness for changes; the ability to solve the problem of not only adaptation, but also development.
