The socio-psychological interpretation and concretization of the provisions about the nation-building and conflict potentials of social and psychological thinking forms have been given. A some hypotheses (14) have been proposed, in particular: about the expediency of socio-psychological research of the process of national construction from the standpoint of the subject- deed approach; about the functional structure of subject activity forces, which are involved in the nation building process; about the system of socio-psychological mechanisms of the nation-building process; certain criteria and patterns in the context of the problem field of research have been defined. A number of conceptual models have been created (6), in particular: a model of the archetypal conflict program and hypothetical model of the nation-building (archetypal) program of national consolidation; a structural-functional model of nation-building potential of historical psychology in a multicultural environment; a conceptual model of socio-psychological analysis of the phenomenon of the nation; a socio-psychological model of the conflict experience of war; the designing of a structural-functional model of the socio-psychological activity of collective subject of the nation building process started out. A group of socio-psychological mechanisms have been highlighted, which contribute to decrease conflict potential in society and to increasing consolidation trends in the nation building process.
