Karazin popup.description2 The project is devoted to study of psychological models and mechanisms of gender identity's formation. The main goal of the work was to define normative and alternative models of personality's gender development basing on sex-role approach and suggest ways of correcting masculinity / femininity entities. In the course of the work, actual cultural models of personality's gender functioning were identified basing on the traditions and actual phenomena of the Ukrainian sociocultural space. The complex mosaic of personality's gender functioning in modern society is considered and gender role of gender identity's cultural models, actual state and perspectives of gender role filters transformation are analyzed. Integrative maps of the various cultural models of gender identity functioning have been created. The palette of phenomenology of masculinity and femininity distortions are presented, which makes difficult to form productive gender identity of modern Ukrainian youth. The conceptions of constructive gender identity's development have been clarified and supplemented from the positions of sex-role approach, modern programs for correcting masculinity / femininity entities for young people have been developed. The project's results are implemented in the educational process of School of Psychology of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and the activity of Ukrainian Institute of client-centered and experiential psychotherapy.
