Purpose of work - to create scientific bases for the synthesis of highly effective materials for catalytic converters of natural, synthetic and man-made toxicants intended for equipping filtering-ventilation systems of stationary objects and vehicles, reducing toxic emissions of transport engines through internal-cylinder catalysis, and developing tools for operational monitoring of the state of the environment. Methods of investigation - linear voltammetry, potentiometry, impedance measurement, scanning electron spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, X-ray spectral microanalysis, рененофазный analysis, X-ray fluorescence analysis. Based on the results of the research, scientific foundations for controlling the composition of heterogeneous oxide coatings on aluminum and titanium alloys have been created by varying the electrolyte formulation, regimes and parameters of synthesis by the method of plasma electrolytic oxidation. Methods and programs for conducting experimental studies have been developed, testing stands and equipment for determining the functional properties of coatings have been established and equipped. The influence of the coating composition on their properties was established and the most effective catalytic systems were identified. Formulations of coatings with increased catalytic activity and energy efficiency for neutralizing toxic components in the environment and intra-cylinder catalysis have been developed.
