Karazin popup.description2 The simulation of production of the charm quark and baryons, containing the charm quark, in proton-proton collisions at energies of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) CERN is carried out. The integral and differential cross sections of these processes in the conditions of measurements on the ALICE and LHCb detectors are obtained. Analysis of a possibility of measuring the magnetic moments of short-lived charm baryons produced in collision of the LHC proton beam with a fixed gas target is performed. The scheme of experiment is proposed in which measurement of rotation angle of the direction of baryon polarization in a bent crystal gives information on the baryon magnetic moment. The peculiarities of angular distributions of relativistic charged particles moving in the field of a thin crystal are analyzed.
