A problem of understanding and opposition in context of Ukrainian and Polish relations and complicated relationship of hero and community in novel "Lelum and Polelum" by Ivan Franko is considered in the works; mystery of topos, nationalistic intentions and problems of literary geography in Franko's text "The crossed paths" is revealed. An attempt to comprehend literary generation of Ukrainian Sich Riflemen as scientific problem was made, Taras Shevchenko's phenomenon in generational perception of Sich Riflemen is analyzed, Volodymyr Gadzinsky's oeuvre - a writer from Legion of Ukrainian Sich Riflemen, and Vasyl Pachovskyy - a participant of Reflemen's generation was researched. On the base of these worked out materials, memories from "Literary scientific announcer" and "Announcer" the events of Ukrainian National Revolution in Drogobych were fragmentarily reconstructed by using Volodymyr Birchak's testimonies; comparative researching of creative method of Vasyl Stefanyk and Grygoriy Klochek was made; a problem of crime in context of past and modernity in these writers' oeuvres was found out.
