Purpose - To develop the concept of biological action of a new class of poly-biologically active compounds, to create a methodology for their testing and to conduct preclinical tests of a new poly-ligand low molecular weight substance. Methods of research - modern methods of biotechnology, in particular: methods of cell cultivation, methods for the isolation of enzymes and their use for obtaining low molecular weight components of biological systems, methods for evaluating chronic and acute toxicity in experimental animals, testing of biological effects of low molecular weight compounds in the in vitro system and in cell culture, development of integration methods of regulation of metabolism, mathematical methods of modeling the regulation of metabolism by polyligand substances, physico-chemical methods of character tics of low molecular weight substances and others. Preclinical studies of acute and chronic toxicity, antitoxic activity, and evaluation of the mechanism of action (antioxidant action in in vitro and in vivo systems) of the low molecular weight substance have been performed. A new methodology for testing a new class of poly-ligandic low molecular weight biological substances has been developed. New biotechnological methods for obtaining low molecular weight substances have been developed.
