Object of the research is physical process of formation of scattering fields and strong local fields during the interaction of electromagnetic radiation with thin planar double periodic structures. Aim of the work is improving consumer characteristics and increasing the competitiveness of control devices in the optical, infrared and microwave bands; studying physical phenomena in the formation of strong local fields by metasurfaces in the trapped mode resonance regime and their interaction with the gain medium layer. Methods of the study - the Pseudospectral Time Domain Method, the Method of Finite Elements. Results of the work: in the R&D Project, a mathematical model of asymmetric metasurfaces with periodic cell that contains one or more dielectric elements is cre-ated, On the basis of the model, the conditions of formation and properties of trapped mode resonances of such metasurfaces are worked out. For the first time, a polariza-tion insensitive fully dielectric metasurface that supports of the trapped mode reso-nance is proposed.
