The purpose of research the creation of new and effective methods of forming intracavity continuous-wave laser beams with a nonuniform spatial polarization and methods of their diagnostics in the terahertz spectral range. Methods of research: method of finite differences in the time domain for bodies of revolution; parameter measurement method of spatial polarizations using matrix receivers with polarizers. A universal experimental setup based on a terahertz laser with optical pumping has been developed, which allows us to carry out a wide range of investigations of new intra-cavity resonator methods for generation radiation with a spatially inhomogeneous polarization of field structure. For the first time, non-uniform mirrors of a dielectric laser cavity in the form of reflecting large-scale azimuthally symmetric metal diffraction gratings for excitation of a transverse mode with azimuthal polarization of radiation were proposed and realized. The effective excitation of a transverse mode with azimuthal polarization at the output of a waveguide HCOOH laser with these diffraction mirrors has been experimentally confirmed. An experimental sample of a matrix receiver designed for measuring the spatial polarization parameters of radiation was developed and created. An algorithm for processing signals from a matrix receiver is developed. The results of the research can be used to solve the problems of the formation of wave beams with specified polarization characteristics of radiation in the processing of materials, high-resolution metrology, microelipsometry, spectroscopy and electron acceleration.
