Karazin popup.description2 The theory and methods of analysis of fractal finite elemental and semi-infinite periodic multilayer gratings are developed. A new type of polarizing filter based on the graphene fish-scale layer, which is applied on a dielectric substrate with a metallic layer on the other side, was proposed and numerically analyzed. Compared to other devices presented in known sources, the proposed filter can operate in the THG range with dynamic control of the central frequency of operation. Using the operator method, the electrodynamic characteristics of two graphene strips lying in parallel planes in the terahertz band are investigated. A comparison is made with the results obtained by the method of hyper-singular integral equations for the case where the strips lie in the same plane. For the first time, a strict solution of the diffraction E - polarized plane wave on an infinite periodic grating with one removed strip is obtained.
