Lazaryan popup.description2 In this project, the problem of increasing the energy efficiency of traction power supply systems containing alternative sources of electrical energy is being solved. Existing traction power systems were put into operation in the middle of the last century. At present, the main power equipment for power supply of railways is worn down by 70-80% and does not provide rational sewage of electric power. In accordance with the Energy Strategy of Ukraine until 2030, alternative generation is actively developing. This increases the energy security of the country, reduces dependence on the supply of fuel and energy resources from other countries. When introducing alternative sources of electric power generation for power consumers of railways, a task arises to develop a rational technology for the joint operation of classical power supply systems for traction of trains and alternative energy sources. At the same time, it is necessary to determine the rational parameters of the systems, propose modernized methods of calculation, determine the principles of diagnosing such systems in order to protect them from emergency regimes and ensure their reliability. Solving this problem requires a comprehensive approach, solving a number of theoretical issues on the theory of electromagnetic compatibility, reliability and traction power supply.
