Purpose is the development scientific principles of electromagnetic force action on molten metal in continuous casting technology using a magnetic system based on permanent magnets, and the development scientific principles for researching pulsed barrier discharge to the surface of a conductive liquid and the technology for using these principles for cleaning of water. Methods of research are the creation of mathematical models and the development of methods for determining the force influence of the electromagnetic field on molten metal, experimental study of pulsed electric discharges on the surface of a liquid electrode using electrical, optical, spectral and chemical methods of investigation. The development of mathematical models and simulation of electrical devices for stirring the molten metal in the mold of continuous casting machines with specified power and dynamic performance of stirring recommendations for the creation of industrial designs electrical equipment is done. A new type of electromagnetic stirrer in the mold using permanent magnets is proposed. The new device is protected by the patents. Experimental stand and discharge chamber to study high pulse discharge is made. Electrical characteristics of barrier discharge to the surface water are studied. Efficiency of cleaning water from organic compounds is defined. The samples of technological equipment for processing industrial water and wastewater are created.
